Medipyxis was born when a group of healthcare technology veterans witnessed the daily struggle of mobile wound care teams firsthand
We saw dedicated clinicians spending more time fighting technology than healing patients. We watched million-dollar practices run on sticky notes and phone calls. We observed how a missed photo or wrong code could mean the difference between reimbursement and write-off.
Most importantly, we recognized that existing healthcare software was built for hospitals and clinics, not for providers delivering care in living rooms and nursing homes across rural America.
Building Something Different
We didn't just build another EMR. We reimagined the entire wound care workflow from the ground up.
Working alongside wound care nurses, we mapped every step from that first fax to the final reimbursement. We rode along on home visits. We sat through Medicare audits. We counted the clicks, measured the miles, and timed the documentation.
