Jennifer Bierhup is the founder & CEO of Libellen Wound Healing Consultants (founded 2020), a Toledo-area RN and wound care case management expert whose credential stack (WCC, CCM, DAPWCA, FACCWS, iRNPA) looks like it should require its own business card. I have a working analogy for Jennifer. She is the Age of Ultron of wound care case management. And I mean that as the highest possible compliment. Ultron's whole thing was, "I want to help humanity level up — I have seen the pattern and I am going to hand you the tools to see it too." Jennifer's whole thing is, "Every home health nurse in America should be able to walk into a bedroom, look at a wound, and know the seven things that matter — and I am going to build the curriculum, the mnemonic, the podcast, and the patent stack that gets them there."

The Origin Story
Jennifer will tell you herself: "2027 will mark my 20-year anniversary in wound care." Read that again. Twenty years.
She started by establishing the first inpatient wound care program at St. Luke's Hospital in Toledo, Ohio (2007) — then went on to build similar programs at Wood County Hospital, St. Anne's Hospital, and ProMedica Home Health Care. Her clinical lineage is not a random collection of certifications; she trained under three of the most consequential wound care educators of the modern era: Barbara Braden (yes, the Braden Scale), Dot Weir, and Nancy Morgan. When you see that lineage on a bio, you sit up.

The other detail I love: she teaches wound assessment using the mnemonic NERDS — Non-healing, Exudate, Redness, and so on — and she teaches it in plain English on a home-health podcast, breaking it down in real time on CareSmartz360. That's an educator who understands that a home health nurse alone in a patient's bedroom needs a mnemonic she can actually use.
And she named her company after a dragonfly. In case anyone was still wondering whether she has a soul.
